چکیده
BackgroundThe optimal type of dressing in the setting total joint arthroplasty (TJA) remains uncertain. The aim this network meta-analysis was to compare various wound dressings and identify for blister reduction prevention periprosthetic infection (PJI) patients after TJA.MethodsStudies comparing 2 or more groups TJA (hip knee) were systematically searched on PubMed, Embase, Scopus. Two authors performed study selection, risk bias assessment, data extraction. Both outcomes assessed using odds ratios (OR) with 95% confidence intervals (CI) ranked surface under cumulative ranking curve (SUCRA) probabilities determine a hierarchy dressings. A sensitivity analysis reduce effect intransitivity between studies.ResultsA 21 studies, consisting 12 types 7293 TJAs, included final analysis. highest incidence blisters occurred when negative-pressure therapy (OR 9.33, CI 3.51-24.83, vs gauze). All better than gauze rate except hydrofiber 1.46, 0.02-112.53) fabric 0.24-9.02). For reduction, alginate (SUCRA = 87.7%) hydrocolloid 92.3%) as before analysis, respectively. Antimicrobial 83.7%) demonstrated most efficacy preventing PJI.ConclusionBased evidence from our an antimicrobial is prevent PJI. If used, surgeons should be aware increased formation. Further studies focus versus blisters.
